Here is a picture of mine, right before I sold it (about 3 months ago)
It was about 6" long. I personally had it for 2.5 years. It pretty
much looked like yours when I first got it. It was a great fish,
ate like a pig and was very peaceful - it just was getting to big
for my tank.

I have seen 8" plus Korans not fully morphed (like the picture above)

I've never seen a koran angel with FULL adult coloration in an aquarium, other than the long beach aquarium. They are really pretty as full adults.

This is a tiny juvenile that we collected in our area, southern Miyazaki City, s. Japan in June. Only 10mm long. It was caught by hand nets only at the depth of 50 cm on the rocky shore of the cosst line. They can be seen from the beginning of June to October.

Korans are one of the most under rated angels for the aquarium IMO. Beautiful (especially the juvies and full adults), bold personalities, and pretty mellow as an adult for an angel, they are one of the most bulletproof angels available. The intermediate form is a bit of an ugly duckling and can stay in this stage for a long time, but this is one of those fish that can outlive the family dog. I last saw a full adult a few years back and it was only about 6-7" (rare for an adult to be this small) and just beautiful, full of greens, blues and yellows and long streamers on the tips of the dorsal and anal fin, a truly spectacular fish under actinics and 250 watt MH.

lux_06- That is seriously one of the nicest looking juvie Korans I have seen in a while.
