ASM G3 with ozonizer questions

I have a G3 with recir and gatevalve mod. What is the water level inside the skimmer should be? I set mine to almost half way in the cup and not getting too much skimmate. Could it be the water level inside the skimmer or could it be the air intake. I run mine inline with an air dryer and ozonizer. Does anyone use an airpump and what kind? I am planning to add a coralife luft pump. Any suggestions?

i would tee off the air intake. by doing this, the skimmer is allowed to take as much air by venturi as it wants, as well as bringing ozone in naturally to the skimmer. Your set-up now, may be reducing the amount of air that is introduced into the skimmer

thanks, do you mean not to use an air pump and just put a tee between the ozonizer & the skimmer?
