Well my cycle is over... i have 6 Green Chromis and some lucky bits of soft coral, worms, sponge from my fully cured rock purchase.

I am forced to keep my fish choices reef safe as i have a small reef now just from buying live rock... and thats ok with me i want a mixed reef with no problem fish.

So can some people throw out a nice 5 fish short list for reef safe and friendly beautiful fish.

the tank is 60x30x30 so i have some room for more than 6 green chromis.

how many gallons is that tank?..i'm guessing the 225 in your sig?

hmmm...that leaves your options to about 400 lol...a better idea than us lising fish would be for you to go to liveaquaria.com and look under their saltwater fish...they have all dif. catagories...you have a rather large tank, so pretty much the whole thing is open to you...just not sharks and stuff like that lol...but it will say if it is reef safe or not on a little chart on the right, but if you really like it and it says not reef safe, feal free to ask here.

there's just way too many possibilities

i plan on putting an ocellaris clown in first in my tank..

lol even tho he was born in the ocean and should have been a true per lol.

and you could do yellow tangs, blue tangs...lots of dif. tangs will work, but i'm not sure how many/what kinds go together..i know some will fight.

Tangs are nice. I've heard they go best in odd numbers.

ya, lots of people say tht about lots of fish..but i dont think that works really..in my experience, fish are gonna make a pecking order, no matter what..the weekest one will prolly kick the bucket...or never come out...things like little gobies usually dont get killed tho, cuz they dont really do anything to the other fish i dont think..(btw, they're cool too)

Would you say 2 yellow tangs and a blue tang would go well together?

I think that tangs do best if you introduce them to the tank together as juveniles all at the same time. Purple tangs are my favorite but can be a little pricey. The yellow tangs are a little easier on the wallet and also look nice. I keep two purples and two yellows in my tank and I really like the combination.

one thing i keep seeing written is "It is semi-aggressive towards conspecifics"

what is a conspecific ?

Would adding 3 or 4 tangs at once to a tank of 225g be adding a significant bio load... or is that nice and safe?

Con-specific could be roughly translated as fish of similar size, shape and color (i.e. potential competition.) The aggression can be fatal if you try to introduce a small yellow tang into a tank with a large, established yellow tang for instance, because the established fish will try to drive the newcomer out of its territory. Since there's no where to go in an aquarium this causes a lot of stress for both fish, but particularly the new addition.

4 juvenille tangs would be fine in a tank of that size I think.
