Hey Guys,
Just doing my tests and found that my phosphates have spiked to stupidly high levels, is there anything I can do apart from water changes, I've run out of phosphate remover and can't afford any more till the beginning of the month, anyone got any ideas??

My thoughts would be to vacuum any detrius you can easily get.

If you have a skimmer, skim it wetter than dryer.

Use dry foods most of the week.

When thawing out frozen food, don't dump the rest of the cup in when you are done feeding.

But like you already know, water changes.

Just my .02 HTH

Find out where the phosphates are coming from. Check the water your using for the changes also.

I'm using RO/DI with a TDS of 0, shouldn't have thought there would be anything in there but I'll test it anyways

As long as nothing is stessed to bad, I'd find where your phosphates are coming from, fix where its coming from, and continue your normal routine as far as water changes. Instead of stressing things out even more with huge water changes.
