I have been out of the hobby for about a year now and I am looking to get back into it, but on a smaller scale. I know what is needed for a large tank, but I am not quite sure what is needed for a smaller nano. I guess my three questions are...What kind of flow do I need for a 24 gal. JBJ nano? Do I need a skimmer and if so, which one? I wold also like to know who has them at a good price? Thanks for all the help.

I have a MaxiJet 1200 in mine. Does a good job with flow.

Some people can't live without a skimmer. I can. I just do weekley water changes but if you must I heard the Remora has a new one out. I'd give it some time to see some reviews though.

Good deals would be finding one locally that may be used. Check the club forums here and ask if anyone has 1 they would sell. Odds are someone in CA has one.
If you want to go new places like Dr. Foster & Smith might be a good place. I got mine here:

Here's an ebay link for the best price I found. I decided on the aquapod, but I don't think you'll find a better price for a JBJ 24 gallon DX anywhere else.....and their in SoCal too! He's got 12 gallon tanks too.
