I cant seem to figure out how to post pics but in my gallery there are a couple of pics. Not the best quality since I had to shrink them to add to the gallery. They are far from being a hamster!, there lifespan is actually 5-10 years, which blows the doors off a hamsters life of about 2 years. They more resemble a chinchilla. They make awesome pets we have 4(plus litter of 5).

They look like gerbils. We just got 2 of those.

Gerbils, phewey. Again a lifespan of 3-5 and when they get sick there is almost always death soon. I'm telling ya if someone wants a pet for kids Degus are the way to go, they are very resilient to diseases if fed the proper diet. But enough about them this is a website for fish, just wanted to share our joy:)

Scott, This website is PRIMARILY for fish since that is most of our primary addiction but........ we ALL have other pets and/or interests. I like hearing about all of it! They sound cute. And raising baby ANYTHING is soooo much fun! Sue
