Is it the same as Lugols? I want to make a dip with it, not dose it.

Some preparations are similar to Lugol's, and some are not. Betadine is not.

This is what the lable says:
Active Ingredient: Iodine tincture U.S.P 100%
(2%) Iodine

So from what I read this means it is iodine in ethanol.

sorry for buttting in but what do you want to dip?

OT
is iodine something that we should dose.. i was under the impression that with regular water changes we dont need to add it to our tanks...

Dipping for nudi's on montipora and zoa's.

That 2% is substantially more dilute than Lugols. I don't know if the effect would be similar or not.
