Well I took some pretty cool night shots. My first couple pictures with my new lens. It's actinic lights so I haven't gotten a chance to play around with it yet. With some practice, I'm sure I'll get some nicer pics. Did a 5 second exposure as a test. I didn't get as close as I could but will next time.

On with some pics!

Canon digital rebel and the 100mm f/2.8 macro lens. Just got it today so I'm just learning it.

Macro?? Hell that's practically micro! I think I can see the individual zooanthellae on a couple of those! :)

Hello,

Very nice!!! I have a Nikon D50 and the 105MM Micro VR lens. Can you please tell me what your settings were and how far away you were and what lighting you were using.

I was maybe 2 or so feet away. I was just using the aquarium lighting which was my VHO super actinics at the time. I did a 5 second exposure at 2.8 apeture. ISO was 100. Stuck it on a tripod and hoped no fish would swim by. Granted, I will experiment a little more and see if I can get some better ones.

Are the originals anywhere near 1024x768? :D I could use a new desktop!

Awesome pics.
