CIMA needs 8 hosts for next season. Anyone willing to host should contact me by e-mail with a month in mind. If we somehow claim more than 8 hosts we can consider continueing into summer meetings for 2007.

September 16 - Henry Schultz - Champaign (joint meeting with members of St Louis club SLASH)
October -
November -
December -

March - Bret Freistedt - Chenoa
April - Louis Sanders - Bloomington
May - David Lee - Philo (is this ok David?)

I can again next April as long as nothing goes wrong between now and then. Hopefully there will be something growing in the tank by then.

How many people are coming up from St Louis?

SLASH will be visiting CIMA member rick rottet's green house intially for a fragging presentation, iirc, then dropping in for a BBQ with CIMA at my place. i certainly am in no position to speak for SLASH, but they guessed an expected 30 - 40 members to make the trip.

they are supposed to come by that day for a tour.

maybe we need to have CIMA up here in mid August???
just doesn't seem right to have another club here before the home gang

Well, we've been dropping enough hints! :)

Actually, we're likely heading north on Sat the 12th.
Maybe we could stop by for a few minutes, mid to
late morning...

Ok, I'm brand new. Assuming everything works out, I might have a tank in time for the September meeting. How does somebody go about joining this group?

On a somewhat related note, BBQ? Don't get my expectations up! Grew up within walking distance to one of the best bbq joints in the nation, if you believed Willard Scott's tour in the 80's.

So what's cooking?

i really wish i could attend this September 16th. But unfortunatly, Ill be getting married on that day.
Please take lots of pics for me folks.

Due to my move I am going to have to Cancel my May meeting. Sorry.

03/06/2007, 06:47 PM
That was silly Dave, you would have had a lot of help to move...had you decided to move that day. LOL

Good luck with the move!

David is now hosting both June meetings and one July.

Is there a meeting in May?

08/05/2007, 03:49 PM
Is there even a club anymore? I joined about a year ago and have gotten nothing about meetings or group events. This post seems to make the point for me. Its still poste3d as plans for last year and last spring.. Is there no future here at CIMA?

We post here daily because we know it doesn't exist any longer.

I hosted the last meeting I believe. bpeuh was going to put something together I thought. Seachel has been talking about hosting a meeting. I'll probably host another one this fall...in a couple 2-3 months.
