Plans for the Fall 2006 / Spring 2007

CIMA needs 8 hosts for next season. Anyone willing to host should contact me by e-mail with a month in mind. If we somehow claim more than 8 hosts we can consider continueing into summer meetings for 2007.

September 16 - Henry Schultz - Champaign (joint meeting with members of St Louis club SLASH)

SLASH will be visiting CIMA member rick rottet's green house intially for a fragging presentation, iirc, then dropping in for a BBQ with CIMA at my place. i certainly am in no position to speak for SLASH, but they guessed an expected 30 - 40 members to make the trip.

Well, we've been dropping enough hints! :)

Ok, I'm brand new. Assuming everything works out, I might have a tank in time for the September meeting. How does somebody go about joining this group?

On a somewhat related note, BBQ? Don't get my expectations up! Grew up within walking distance to one of the best bbq joints in the nation, if you believed Willard Scott's tour in the 80's.

Is there even a club anymore? I joined about a year ago and have gotten nothing about meetings or group events. This post seems to make the point for me. Its still poste3d as plans for last year and last spring.. Is there no future here at CIMA?

I hosted the last meeting I believe. bpeuh was going to put something together I thought. Seachel has been talking about hosting a meeting. I'll probably host another one this fall...in a couple 2-3 months.
