I just found a small aiptasia hitchhiked in a small piece of rock. I bought some xenia about a month ago, the rock came with the xenia. I want to get rid of the rock and save the xenia. Can I cut the xenia(s) off the rock please? Will they survive after the cut? Or is there a better way to do it? :(

HI There.
I would just go and get some joe's juice and inject the aptasia.
Easier than moving the xenia.

Can I take the rock out and inject vinegar on the aiptasia and put the rock back in the tank afterwards. According to bertoni, vinegar kills aiptasia as well.

Joe's Juice didn't work for me, the aiptasia would just reaper about a week later.
I ordered some peppermint shrimp from a on-line vendor and they where so small they didn't work either.
I then went to my LFS and picked out the biggest peppermint shrimp I could find and in 3 days all my aiptasia was gone.
4 weeks later still no sign of aptasia.

You can terminate the little brats for only 2 bucks with pickling lime (basically just calcium hydroxide, the same thing as kalkwasser). just mix up a heavy concentration and squirt a cloud of it over the aptaisia. Helps bring up your calcium levels while you're at it.

Where does one buy pickling lime? Grocery store? Certain brands to watch for? Is there a link that explains this further?

What mix is a heavy concentration kalkwasser? I have kalkwasser powder. Do I just mix it with water and squirt it on the aiptasia? Is the concentrated liquid harmful to other living stuffs?

Just make a paste of kalkwasser and water that works with a syringe. Exact proportions aren't necessary. Use only small quantities at a time, since the paste will raise pH, alkalinity, and calcium. Try maybe 1 ml and work from there.
Both vinegar and Joe's Juice worked for me, although nothing is 100%.

I had an outbreak (one will quickly turn to many). I bought two peppermint shrimps - No aptasia or wet hands!

peppermint shrimp work well for controlling aptasia.

How many peppermint shrimp can be kept together? Will they fight if there is more than one?

I don't know how many you can keep, it all depends on your tank load.
However you can keep as many together as you wish, they will not fight each other, in fact they will all kinda hang out in the same area of the tank together.
