DI Canister

THis is a little hard to explain

I have a Kent Maxxima RO/DI. My DI beads are dead so I am wanting to replace them. I went ahead and added an additional DI canister.

Since I took all the lines off I forget which barb on the DI canister is suppose to be in and which one is out.

Is the water from the RO suppose to first fill the canister then go the the actual DI beads, or does the water from the RO first go through the DI beads then fill the canister and out?

The lid on your RO housing (what you called a "canister") should be labeled "in" and "out" if viewed from the top. Assuming you can't see those labels, The water should flow into the housing, and flow bottom up through the DI resin.

except you only have 1 membrane housing

your is probably a 4 stage unit so it would be
1 sediment filter
2 carbon
3 RO membrane
4 DI (allways last)
