anyone have a picky naso tang?

Hi all

Just got a naso the other day and he appears to be a bit picky. Hes not a huge fan of the purple seaweed, and will eat the green, although not really going "out of his way" for it. I read somewhere that they prefer brown... can anyone back this up??

Are you talking about the sheets?

Mine tears into the green... never tried the purple (but he won't eat red macro or some green macro from my fuge)...

Give him time to be established as well...

Naso's can be picky until aclimated. offer green or brown algea sheets as well as cyclop-eeze. mine would eat nothing but the cyclop-eeze for about 2 weeks. he now eats flakes and various other foods without a problem. he is about 9 months old. He actually prefers flakes and pelet to froze foods
