Sorry about the grainy pics (I had just cleaned the glass and I am fairly camera challenged), but could someone ID this coral for me? I purchased it as a "small Surabya (sp?) aquacultured" piece. Thank you.

The white spots near the bottom of the coral are bits of particulate floating in the water.

It does have this one bare spot - you see it in the top down photo on the right side. It has not gotten any bigger, should I worry about it?

Thanks Again.

I could be wrong...but looks like a common blue tort

it is way to small for a positive ID but i would guess tort.

the color looks like tort, but as they said, way too small to be certain about.

there sure are a lot of super blue gomezi/echinata's that come in from there and they look quite similar to that when they're small... it's a possibility too :)

Thanks all.

I thought maybe echinata, but I'm pretty new to the game. It has shown steady but slow growth over the last 2 months so it should be identifiable in another 6 months. The piece itself is about 2.5 inches now so still small.

Thanks again.
