Well I come home from out of town over the weekend and notice that my 3 year old 4" foxface is gone, he must have died while I was away...Bummer

What I want to know is will there be any problems with this fish dying in my tank? It is a 90 gallon sps reef that has been setup for about 6 years. I went ahead and did a 10% water change last night, but I am worried that a decomposing fish may do damage to my water quality.

Did you get the fish out?

Nope, got home and all that was left was skeleton, I have one huge serpent star, cleaner shrimp, few large nassarius, and a good bristle worm population that probably finished it up. I was just worried about any decomposition happening in the tank that the cleanup crew could not take care of.

Thanks

If all you found was a skeleton, sounds like your crew took care of it. Just to be safe though, I would run some tests.

ya, definitely do some tests, and maybe another small water change, and run some carbon just to be sure
