Is the Hammerhead quiet enough for home office use? I am scared the noise will be too distracting. I dont want to have to use multiple Darts for my CL

The hammerhead I have under the tank is very quiet, although I can hear it faintly. So, it is quiet, but don't expect it to be completely silent.

The LFS uses some of these and they are very quiet. Much quieter compared to similar pumps.

muir, are you planning on using it as a return, or closed loop?

FOr closed loop purposes, I think a pair of darts is a MUCH better solution. More flow, less energy, less noise.

use a rubber pad under the pump and you won't even hear the thing running.....

C'mon guys it's not THAT quiet. They are one of the queitest pumps available but in an office environment you will hear it.

I can hear mine too. Its in the basement. Just use acoustic absorption material in your cabinet and it should be acceptable. It also depends on your overflow noise too, that may be louder than the pump. Make sure to use something like a durso overflow. Great pump too BTW.
