calling all 180's

I have 2x250 watt MH, 3x80 watt T5 actinics, and 1x80 T5 10K.

I want to keep some SPS now. I have a pink stylophora frag (1") that is colored up nicely, but it sits at the very top of my tank.
Can i put SPS about half way down the tank? The lights are about 1 foot off the surface and are 15K MH.

Sure you can put SPS on the bottom, i have a few only 1" or 2" from the bottom and i only have 175w 10k XM bulbs on my 180.

some SPS demand more light, it depends what you buy which will determine how high or low you can put them in the tank your Stylo should be 1/3 from the bottom and up..

will it be OK at about 6" under the surface? It is right under the 250 MH.

ill have to play around and watch the progress of the corals at different levels :)
