I have a rock that has alot of the little white fuzzt things sticking out. They remind me of q-tip heads. But they look like they have a few tentacle things sticking out of them.
And beside them there is alot fot his white fuzzy stuff on the rock but that is just attached to the rock not sticking out.
This is all new in the last 3 weeks or so they were never there before.I will try and get a pick when my husband comes home.

Thanks
Lisa

Either sponges or some form of hydroids perhaps?

A photo would make it much easier to identify though.

My sump is completely overun with them. None have shown up in the tank though. I figure if it grew there naturally what harm could there be in keeping them.

Could be a bunch of tiny feather dusters, if they are that they are harmless.

they are known to eat detris, and should be vacuumed before removal to aviod release of nitrates. REEF-ON!!!
