Torn between these two tanks

1. 96 x 36 x 30

2. 72 x 48 x 30

Will go inwall with two sides visible.

Opinions and reasons welcome

go with the wider tank, you can make more of a 3D reef with it. IMO

when you say two sides visible do you mean the long sides visible or one long side and one short side visible?

if it's long sides visible i'd go w/the 8ft tank. if it's one long side and one short side visible i'd go 6ft w/the 4ft width.

great dimensions.

I'm really leaning toward the 6 ft by 4 ft tank. I would have one long and one short side showing from an in wall installation. Seems like it would look like a true reef in the ocean like that.

I'd go with #2. I like wide tanks.

You can't go wrong either way but why not 96x48x30? i mean if you got the room for both 4ft wide and 8ft wide. Go all out.. But if you really have to choose i think it all depends. If your more of a fish person go long if your more into the reef corals look go wide.

I'd prefer the wider one if you'll have two sides around a corner visible.

How would you light each one? You may have a different decision when you consider the number of bulbs/pumps/etc would be required for each tank shape.
