does anybody happen to know the par output of a ushio 14k DE 250 watt bulb on an icecap 250 electronic?
i was trying to compare it to other bulbs, but its not in sanjay's database

You should avoid comparing par outputs from multiple sources. Sanjay's tests are good because they hold other factors constant. The height is the big factor that could change a par reading. A couple inches off and you could make any bulb show high or low par.

I tested the Ushio 14K when it first came out. I just have the feeling that Sanjay just got a bad bulb or something to test. On my PAR meter the Ushio 14K blew away the Phoenix 14K and was slightly brighter than the Ushio 10K, but for some reason, Sanjays tests showed different.

According to Sanjay's data, the phoenix has more par than the Ushio 10K.
What were the results of your measurements?

I've heard that the Ushio 14K has more PAR than the 10K, which I find hard to believe. Can anybody confirm this?
