I would have liked to get by his house today but could not make it. He had a few people over to see the reef. Maybe when he gets a moment he can post a current picture.

Pacific,

Yes, my tank is a bit packed. (All locally obtained frags...they really took off after I switched to T5).

The bartop is still the same as in your pic. (It's one of the great design features of the tank in my opinion). Don't have any recent "full frontal" pics. The tours over the weekend were well attended and it was pretty much impossible to get a clean shot.

Wow.....does this make me the official NAGA spokesperson...cuz if it does I need a raise!! :D

Wow! this caught me off guard a bit.

I apologize to those that have been asking for pics and having to wait as long as this to get them. I have just been so busy with work the last couple of months. Many thanks to hmore for taking the pics with that super camera. Thanks also going out to Yomeister for taking on what amounts to being a spokesperson for what is shown.

Anyway, that tang (Mimic) that everyone comments on I have had for about 8yrs now. It is definitely a stand out in the crowd of tangs in the tank. I believe there is now 9 different types of tangs in the tank and by far he is noticed by visitors the most. I am pretty much "tanged out" but, I do have plans for a Gem Tang at the end of the year.

The lights are Giesemann system 400 twins which are a relatively new light for Giesemann. The two pendants house two 400 watt lamps in a side by side configuration. Thusly they amount to a pair of 800 watt fixtures. I can't say enough about the quality of the lights and with the ability to have different Kelvin bulbs in one fixture. There is also the ability to control each bulb in the fixture which give a ramping up and down in light intensity over the course of a day. I purchased these lights from Atlantis Aquariums in Richmond Va. (Marvin) They did not take long to get once they were ordered. Love the lights!

The system is just under 5yrs old now and for the rest of the equipment:

Skimming: Bubble King 500
Ca Reactor: Deltec PF1000
Kalk: Deltec KM500S dosed by a Aquamedic peristaltic pump
Phosphate/Carbon: Rowaphos through a Deltec FR509
circulation pump: Eheim 1262
water motion: 6 Tunze pumps with a 7095 controller

that is pretty much it. I feed the tank at least once a day with a bowl of food. There are just under 50 fish in the tank now and none of this would be possible IMO without great skimming.

Yomeister's tank I can say is the absolute most beautiful tank lit with flourescent lighting that I have every seen. It it truely amazing to see the fantastic colors he has. The pics do not give it nearly the justice it deserves. I have seen this tank evolve and grow in and it really is enjoyable to sit in front of (with a beer of course) and relax(and a FYI Yomeister always has plenty of beer).

If memory serves, after failing to re-home it, he opted to break it apart with a sledge hammer... partly to test the seam strength. It wouldn't break along the seams. That's pretty good integrity.
