As the subject says I am looking to buy a 90 -135 gallon glass aquarium. I have looked all over the internet and have found a website called glasscages.com.

I was wondering if they are reputable or if there are any more places to buy a tank.

PS I am in the New York, westchester area.

Thanks in advance

Not sure on Glasscages they seem to be to good to be true, I think your best bet is the Local Fish Store

go over to manhattanreefs.com, there are lots of westchester people there and they will tell you where you can go to get a good price locally.

I like glass too but up towards that size they get kind of heavy -- for around he same price you could get a reef ready acrylic from ebay for $900 shipped --do a search

yeah,
everyone on ebay wants local pickup. And the problem is they all live in california.

If you're looking for "starfire" (well... not really starfire, but low iron glass) going with a company like glass cages is a good plan. Otherwise, finding someone locally to order you a standard AGA will probably end up being cheaper.

I paid $230 for an AGA 90 with the "mega-flow" reefready thingy.

Its 225 dollars for a 90 gallon with built in overflow at glasscages.com.

But its the stand that gets you, 195$ and 130 for a canopy.

Where else could i get these items?

Does anyone want to make them for me :D

I just bought a 300 gallon from them friday which will be delivered the 19th

low iron glass
large overflow and bulkheads
skimmer
12 tall canopy
42 stand

By far the cheapest place I found.I talked to the owner on 3 different occasions and another nice lady before I finally made my mind up.

once it is here I will post up some pics

I bought my 240 from www.glasscages.com one year ago almost exactly. I love it. No problems to report. It did weigh 650 lbs completely dry though! It cost me $900 shipped to SC. Great deal IMO. I have a 110 AGA aquarium as well and though I do think they are a little bit "cleaner," you can't tell the difference by looking at them. The price was great for me and everything has worked out well so far. HTH

Thing w/ glasscages is you have to pay alot to ship it or pay to drive to white plains and pick it up --for me I'm 3 hrs away plus w/ gas prices today and my hungry belly I'd be blowing another $100 easy just to pick it up plus stress of driving.

By the way --your not looking at the right company if you think its local pick up only. The company is right at the top of the page when you look at fish, turtles, etc --- reef ready 252g acrylic $1100 delivered to your house ...click on other items to see smaller sizes. someone show him the listing I'm talking about -

I would go to your local LFS and pick up a LEE-MAR tank. Great quality and they will custom build them and deliver to the LFS for pickup. You can also get Starphire glass if you have a little extra.

IMO, buying a $600 tank and paying $300 shipped (to SC) from Glasscages, was a much better deal than paying almost $2000 for the tank from AGA through the LFS and not having shipping... It worked oout well for me and save me about $1000 on the tank alone.
