I just switched over to using a filter sock on our 92 gallon. How often do you guys clean them. Also, what's the best way to clean them? The guy at our LFS said wash them in bleach???? Then let them dry. I don't know if I want anything that has set in bleach around my tank. Any thoughts?

I wash mine in bleach(1/4cup), but catch the wash at the rinse cycle(to save h2o) and add Prime by Seachem. Hang them to air out and they're ready to go....

wash them in the washing machine with a little bleach. no need to treat or double rinse. chlorine evaporates in as little as 12 hours but i wait a day to use them to be safe. oh and turn them inside out to wash they will last longer.

Prime removes chlorine from the water. Just alittle peace of mind, a bottle is like $5 and I've been using the same one for atleast 6 months and its more than half full

I wait till I get more than four and throw them into the washing machine, and fill with ro/di waste water, add bleach.

I use the ro/di waste water for the rinse as well.

I pull the soiled filter socks out after a day or so.
