How to position Maxima on rockwork

I remember reading somewhere that the inhalent and exhalent siphons should be positioned a certai way if the clam was at an angle. Right now my clam's exhalent is above the inhalent. Is the correct or does it even matter?

you want the excurrent syphon higher then the incurrent so the byssal gland isnt getting pulled on
