I just picked up my new 24g Aquapod and discovered after taking it home that the piece of glass at the base has a scratch in it. This obviously will not affect the aesthetics of the tank, but I was wondering if this would affect the integrity of it. Will the tank be more prone to cracking as a result of this? or is it nothing I should worry about? The scratch is 6-7" long and you can run your finger and fingernail over it and "catch" it, it goes from the back part of the glass into the area with the pump and I'm presuming all the way to the corner.

I know you are excited, but you do not want a scratch in a glass tank. Have you ever cut glass? Step 1: scratch the glass, Step 2: the glass breaks off.

On a positive note, take a razor blade to the scratch. Perhaps it is just some packing glue stuck to the glass. My nanocube had a "scratch" but I later learned it was just glue stuck on that looked like a scratch.
