you can also just use the $10 magnets from petco. I've got them holding everything from seios to maxistreams to a Tunze.

How do you attach them to it?

Go with the Agae Free Sure Grip's, they really work well and come with 4 different adaptors for different model powerheads...that way if you ever change in the future you won't have to buy new magnet holders (most likely). They may be a little pricey but I think they're one of the best investments I made for my tank!

I use both. Agae Free Sure Grip is a lot stronger. I glued a medium magfloat to hold a M1500 and it might fall if something hits the powerhead. If you decide to DIY, make sure you get the large magfloat.

Magfloats are crap. Get the really cheap looking grey ones that petco has. The ones that sink. THey have MUCH stronger magnets than the magfloats, and are much cheaper. Theyre holding my tunze up fine.

As to having the buy new magnets if you change pumps, thats bull. I just use the SEIO brackets on them, and use them for everythign. The SEIO swivel brackets are infinitely supperior to the bracket systems for pretty much every other pump I've ever seen (especially tunze)
