Curing Live Rock

I was thinking of making my own live rock. But for the curing process, I want to be really really lazy. So here is the idea, I want to grab all this rock in a net and hang it off the dock from my shore house for like 4 weeks. Then, I have only an hour drive home. Should this be plenty to cure the rock and without me having to do anything but just pick it up after some time?

good idea but..... you are going to still get unwanted guests! also even just an hour drive you will have die off. you could try to put it fully underwater for the ride home. i wouldnt do it just because of unwanted guests.

What possible unwanted guests could I get? It would be down at the jersey shore by the way.
