I moved the green button from its favourite position near the bottom of the tank to under the light about a month ago. I haven't paid much attention to it until a few days ago. It is not opening as happily as before; it used to open widely, and now only slightly. Its color is bleached somewhat. I have now moved it back to the bottom.
Do buttons like bright lights? And how do I cure it?

whats all your params? mine never really care where they're placed at...so i dont think lighitng should be the issue..unless you've got old bulbs?

Parameters seem ok, well, I am not using very accurate testers. My light is about three months old.

The others like xenia, open brain, clam, mushrooms etc. are doing fine.
I will use more accurate testers. Any recommendations?

this is pretty much the same thats happening in my tank right now lol... all my xenias, gsp's, polyps, and mushrooms are doing fine...but just my button polyps are starting to bleach, but i dont know why, because i've had them for about a month or 2 and they've been fine untill just this last week...my nitrates are high i know, (going down tho) but its been kinda high for a while because of vacation...whoever watched my tank overfed.

My button polyps have been in my tank for over a year now. It has been doing very fine, reproducing pretty well until I moved it.

It's place is taken up by something else. I am placing it at the bottom of the tank now, hopefully it will recover. Thank you for your response.
