so i purchased my first sw fish today! YAY!! i have a true perc, and before i purchased i was reading that they do not need an anemone host. right now i do not have the lighting requirements nor will i for a long time to house an anemone for the clown. i have heard of them hosting xenia before, and i was just wondering is there anything else that it may take to? i have 1x65w pc bulb for my 20H. thank you very much in advance!! :fish1:

in my quarantine tank as a permanent resident. It has been there for about 8 months and I don't have any special lighting on it. Just regular flourescent.

I've read they'll host a little portion of sand sometimes....
I think they'll pretty much take to anything they feel safe around ...
lets see what others say.

sand, powerhead, mushrooms, rock, you name it. I had two that were hosting my "fuzzy" shrooms before I lost them to brook... so funny to watch them at night after the mushroom closed... they seemed so confused but refused to leave :)

Yeah it is interesting to observe the clowns to host stuffs...like my clown hosting the BTA during at night time when they all goes sleep...the clown would swim vertically (yes nose goes up while the tailfin faces the floor) I just thought its so funny lol
