View Full Version : 24 nano crash
just had my 24 nano crash
lost a mated pair of chalk bass, sixline wrasse, eibi angel, and my flasher wrasse die.
only survivors were my engineer goby, rainford goby and my cleaner shrimp. im ****ing done with nanos. nothing but headaches cause you cant skim and the water volume isnt enough.

Sorry to hear it, never any fun watching everything die.
Been there done that got the tee shirt:(
Sorry to say but the load you had in it im sure was a big factor, 7 fish is a bit much for a 24 gal tank

Hey man, sorry about your crash. I too have had my share of fish die over the years, and it always happens when you or your family get attached to them.
I do believe Doug is right in saying that the bio-load was heavy for that small of a tank.
I hope you don't get frustrated and quit reefing. It is a beautiful thing when it is running like it should.

Well that sucks. Sorry for your losses. Nanos are hard to keep in general. What caused the crash? Parameters?
looks like i had a trite spike. i got the 55 from isthisname getting set up atm.looks like ill have 82 gallons of total water volume to mess with so i should be good.
