I have had my RK2 for about two weeks now and have not had a problem untill this morning. Im running channel 4 for my 150w current usa MH. This morning the light did not come on. No big deal i think, ill check the contact ends of the bulb, nothing. Channel 4's indicator light was not on. I used manual overide and it came right on. put it back to auto and nothing. i have tried switching it to off then back to auto, have also tried unplugging the unit from the wall. still no reset. please help.

JayB1224,
So it sounds like the controller is able to turn the channel on/off when it wants to. What are your settings for that channel?

I have channel 4 set to come on at 9:30am and off @ 9:30pm. Channel is set for MH lighting and the temp cutoff is set to 80F.
Am I correct in using channel 4 for MH lighting as it is a true relay channel?
thank you-

What is the temp of the tank?

That was my next question. What is the temperature reading? Temp cuttoff could be kicking in.

Nick, Stile2
The temp in the tank is a rock solid 77.6F, the highest it ever gets is 78.2F. The fan is set to come on at 78.5F.
Thank You

Jason,
I'm more interested in the setting on the light, not the fan. If the light cutoff temperature is less than 77.6 then it will never turn the light on.

What happens if you reconfigure the channel to be a different channel type (fan, heater, always on, etc), then configure it back to being a MH light? That will reinitialize everything with just that channel. We're puzzled by this behavior and want to check if something is messed up with the channel configuration that doesn't manifest itself onscreen...

I tried that just after my last post and that seems to have reset the channel. Thanks for all your help. I know what you guys are going through, I work in the 12volt industry and these little querks happen. Im in no way discouraged about using your product and look forward to seeing what else you come up with. Again thank you for your help.

Jason,
That's good to hear. Hopefully we can track down the root cause of the issue for the next firmware release. Good to know there's a quick fix.
Thanks for the kind words.
