I have a 48" 75 gallon tank. Bought two clamp on Aqualight advanced series HQI fixtures. They have 150 watt 14000K double-ended HQI on each pendant. This gives me only 300 watts.
1) was this a rational decision
2) should I supplement with slim-line strip lighting like the 48" Aqualight 2-65W Straight Pin Base (Coralife). Width is only 2" and think they would not block the clip-on halides.
Or have a just made a bad puechase.
