View Full Version : Pods
I had bought some pods about a month ago. One type came in a screw off plastic bottle and the other in plastic bag. I put them in the tank at night hoping the fish wouldn't eat them and they would populate. I haven't seen any yet. I looked in the overflow box and at night with the lunar lights but nothing. Should I get more and this time pour them into the overflow box where the fish can't get them and then they can reproduce and move into the tank? I have a Megaflow wt/dry for my filtration.

I'd say that they've been eaten. When you say "at night"... exactly how many hours after lights out did you add them?

Have you been providing food for the pods?

i find it hard to beleive that all the pods would die or be eaten. they are probly in your rock or sand somewhere. also check in your sump/fuge, if you have macro in the fuge check that out. they will usually be chilling in there reproducing their butts' off as mine are.
Pods 'learn' to hide if they're being hunted. And if you feed phyto to your tank often, that will help the population.
I don't have any macro in the sump part as there isn't any room. The 9.5mag and pump for the protein skimmer is in there. I added the pods at about 10pm and I only saw the two clowns out at the time. I feed the phyto to the tank 2 times a week because of the corals. 2 tablespoons.

Don't worry, you have all kinds of critters in there that you can't see.
