Is it a necessity to let freshly made saltwater stand for 24 hours before you do a water change?

Its not that you want it to stand for 24 hrs, you want it to mix for 24 hours. If its an emrgency I would say you could let it mix for less. IMO its a good idea to let it mix for the 24 just to make sure everything is disolved and ready to go.

Not always. It depends on what brand of salt you are using. Also some quick fixes exist. Get a power drill and a paint mixing bit. Stir for 10 minutes with the drill (for a 5 gallon bucket). In 10 minutes enough air should be added to stabalize most mixes. If you don't want to buy a mixing bit you can use a whisk it takes a little longer and is tough on the arms though.

Good Luck

is it a problem if you leave it mixed in 45 gallon with power head and heater for 5 days before water change?

Shouldnt be a problem, jsut make sure there is nothing else getting in there. I mix mine in 32 galon tubs. Fill with about 20 gallons of water, drop in a powerhead and heater close the lid and I use it as I need it.
