HI, I have a 92 gal tank that we are in the process of setting up as a reef tank. The lighting unit that came with the tank is a:
36" Deluxe Aquarium Florescent Reflector- 120 volt, 38 watt, 60 hz. It also came with a GE 30watt bulb.
We REALLY need some suggestions on what to be looking at. With all the other things we have been doing to get up and running properly, we haven't yet gotten to the lighting. We want to get everything set up right the first time.
What type of lighting do we need? And how soon do we have to have it? We will be cycling the tank with rock... and then adding fish . Then. gradually adding corals, inverts etc...as the tank establishes...help?

Everything starts with what you plan of having in the tank. Soft corals, SPS, LPS, clams. Then start evaluating lights reguired to meet there needs and affect your looking for in your tank.
