Well, here are the unfinished pics. Nothing is where it will eventually be. All zoas will be glued to small spacer rocks (~3X the size of the rocks they are on to allow more grow out), then glued to the rockwork. The LPS will be better arranged. All the pics look blue, but the 120 is under 175W 15K XM's (ten months old...). The colors pop like they do in the pics, but the blue isn't as bad in person. I've gotta figure out how to reset the white balance on my camera to pull out the blue...

I have more things to move in to the 120 (pink mouthed echinata, etc.), but have to make room first... Alot of my zoas went without light for about a week while the 120 cleared, but most are coming out of their shells;).

Nice start. I can still see some sand on the bottom, so you'll need to add some more frags ;)

Just kidding. It looks really nice. I need to figure out that white balance thing on my camera as well. They need to have a "reef mode" on these things (portrait, sun behind the subject, red-eye, <b>REEF</b>).

To give me an idea on my 120 gallon.. How much rock is that and what kind? Is it very dense or light?

Also how much flow is your return pump?

Looks great Gary... Now I feel a lot better about all the frags lining the bottom of my tanks... :) I like the Acans and Blastos... And that goniopora is a sweet pink, and from the looks of it, a good size colony too!!!

Thanks all. It's got a ways to go, but I'm loving the colors.

Chris-I'm not sure how much in terms of weight... I used the rock I got from Charles on the 180 purchase way back in March. I would guess there is probably about 80-90 pounds. Maybe 100? There are three big rocks on the right and five smaller rocks. The biggest rock on the right (takes up the whole right side) must have weighed around 25 pounds. It was difficult to hold one handed over the rim of the tank with little spikes entering your fingers;). I didn't fill it more because most of the LPS I hope to keep in here will plate. I'm going to get the zoas gorwing in mats around them. I have a combo rock in another tank that had Leptastrea, some zoas, and some sort of Favia, I think. The LPS overgrew the zoas. Not to death, but the borders change ever so slowly.

It is Fiji by the looks and feel. It is pretty porous (I prefer the more porous rock). The return pump is a Sedra 9000. It has 900 gph at 0 head. Seems to be doing a decent job. That and three MJ 1200's have it moving pretty good. I'm hoping to not need much more flow.

Randy-I got a great deal from RevRoy. I traded some Eagle Eyes and some teal with orange centered zoas for it. It is really nice sized. My wife already wants a piece for her tank and I think there is one I can easily clip:).

Looks good, Gary. Couple of comments, though. You need to feed those acans, as they need to grow some :) Also, do you have them in a higher flow area, 'cause mine of the same type have much puffier polyps (see below)?

No, but it may be the dirty water...

Oh, and someone was asking about Indo vs. non-Indo Acan lords. Top is def. a non-Indo, bottom is likley an Indo. I find that the fine papillae on polyps is a pretty good indicator of the non-Indo variety, but not 100%.

Yeah, I haven't been feeding like I should. With all of th ebandits in the 125, even the upside coke bottle trick didn;t always work. I plan to feed the 120 more heavily. I gotta get those guys bigger. I think the extra lighting in the 125 slowed them down a little. They shouldn't be getting too much flow where they are, but I'll make sure they aren't in a higher flow area. I 'misplaced' the micro I got from you in the move. It detached from the rock I had it on and is likely in the sand. It was starting to look normal again... Thanks for the info on the Indo/non Indo. That makes sense.

Thanks Chris. Thye need to do some growing and I need to get a lot of things mounted, but it's on it's way. If I could get over this bout of laziness... I also need to buy a glue truck for all of the frags;).

Where is the new tank look? ;) Your tank looks like it has already been up for while. Are you planning then all LPS and zoas? How did you mount your lighting? It's just retro MH right? Im planning the move into my 120 gallon and the one thing I have hated so much about my 65 is the canopy.

Have you thought about a fish list at all?

Yup. I may add a few sps, but mostly LPS and zoas (may throw in some monti caps, etc.). I just screwed the reflector to the canopy. Easy enough:).

As for fish, I know I want some wrasses. I haven't figured out why I lost the first two...
