I am a fresh newbie and have lots of ?'s. I have 2 aqua clear 50 powerheads and they are in a 50 gal tank. I have 45 pounds of live sand and 35 of live rock. The powerheads keep blowing out puffs of tiny bubbles and there are lots of these bubbles in my tank. Is this bad orare these tiny bubbles ok. Please help.

Micro-bubbles can stress corals and just look bad in the tank. They may be pulling in air from the surface of the water. Make sure they are down in the tank far enough.

I am having this same problem with a couple of my MJ1200's. They are far enough below the surface. I have tried to turn them off and shake them every which way under water to release any trapped air bubbles with no success. I think they produce their own air!!!

close/plug the venturi inlet...that should help....and I dont think its been proven that micro-bubbles have any affect on corals....otherwise there would be zero corals on a reef top
