I think i should start charging rent to my fish and inverts. I keep the place decent so they could never deny me rent. I pay for heating, cleaning, food, and medications. I do allow pets only one nudibrach per tenent and there is a wieght limit(restricted breeds)

Ive probably spent about 3 grand in my tank. But the larger the more expensive. I cant imagine people setting up these 800gal tanks.

Sprint car racing!
I could have purchased a new chassis or a nice enclosed trailer for what I've put into the tank. Racing is the summer hobby, reef is the rest of the year.

I've put in over 3k but under 4k in a little less then 2 years.
and thats with a lot of freebies, DYI and group buys to save on costs. the only things I have bought "new" were my lights and skimmer.

Yes, do you think I should have used Higher numbers for the poll? WoW 20k is more than I paid for a second car!

I'm just over 2k, everything for my 30 cube is in a 10gal...I still need to finish my stand, plumb everything, DIY a 10 gal sump, get a two stage temp controler, parts and pump for my auto top-off, and a good return pump, ehiem=$$.
I am DIYing my stand, my sump, drilling and contstructing my own center overflow and CL.
I'll probably add a bigger skimmer, phos reactor and a chiller in the next year.
I'll be over 5k for a 30 oceanic cube when fully stocked and $60 to $70 per month for elec, water, salt, and test kits.

Well in excess of 10K on my 90 and I stopped right there before the rest of my hair fell out. I still need to get a chiller and a generator just in case.
