I'm setting up T5 lighting for my 30g tank on the weekend. Is that suitable for zoo's? If so is there anything else to consider before I put some in? Are all zoo's good for beginers?

Thanks

t-5 should be good enough lighting. Zoanthids in general are very easy corals to keep alive as long as you maintain good parameters. If you want to get the best color out of your polyps, be sure to do weekly 10-25% water changes, maintain proper ALK, and change bulbs out on regular basis. Some zoanthids tend to be more just a little more difficult for new zoa keepers like carribeans species and the "PE" varieties zoanthus gigantus. Also most importantly be sure to read the sticky thread about the MUCHO dip and do this with every new zoanthid and also quarantine if possible. It can save you a lot of headaches. Good luck.
