My head's in a wash about wattage.
When trying to evaluate electrical usage on new lights to purchase I find all sorts of comments on different lights, different watts etc.
How do you figure in the electrical use of the ballast. For eg a 250 watt MH will use approx 250 watts of electricity but how about the ballast. So if I'm comparing t5 at 54 watts each what does their ballast draw in power versus the MH with ballasts.
