just got a new CPR overflow box. I forgot to order the 10.00 agua lifter pump. Does anyone know of a substitue that I can pick up at my LFS?

Most pet stores have aqualifters in stock. Go to the reptile section. They use them on the reptile drip systems.

I have called all the LFS about Aqua Lifter and they have no idea what I am talking about. Should I be refering to something else. I will check the reptile section tomorrow.

you can use any small powerhead and just hook up the airhose from the powerhead discharge to the CPR. However, you will be much happier if you get the Aqualifter. They are cheap, easy to maintain.

I have been using them for three years, on two overflows. I have an extra Aqualifter for each, and rotate them out and clean them at my convenience. Also get the filters for them. They are cheap too, I have a bunch of them... again, you can change them out and clean at your leisure. The maintenance required is about two mintues once a month.
