I am almost finished w/medicating my Yellow Tang for septicmia. The salinity in the quarantine tank is 1.012.I need to gradually readjust back to 1.024 in the display tank.Does anyone have suggestions on how to do this. For example would I do 20% water changes everyday increasing salinity by.004 or .006?
Any help would be appreciated.Thanx!

I would only raise the salinity .001 or .002 each time. Another words if your starting at 1.012 then after your first change I wouldnt go above 1.014. When I brought my salinity up from a hypo treatment I would raise no more than .002 lit is sit for 2 or 3 days then do another water change.
You dont want to stress the fish anymore than you have to and raising the salinity is alot more stressful on a fish than dropping it

I mix up like a double strength batch of salt water and add a bit in a couple of times a day -- basically going up by about .001 each time. It's a lot easier than doing water changes and my fish tolerate it just fine.
