im starting to get green hair algae in the crevices of my rock ( i believe to insufficent water movement) and im not sure the hermit crabs are going for it. Is there anything i can get that will take care of this problem fast?

I've heard that Lettuce Nudibrachs will take care of it. Not tried them myself.

hermits probably wont go for it that much. but how old is the tank?
also, what are the nitrates and or phosphates at? usually hair algae wont grow from low flow..actually i believe that low flow isnt the cause of any algae, but it can speed up the growth of it. But it has to have some sort of nutrient to grow, which would more than likely be the phosphate or nitrates.
to get rid of it tho, i'd say to get about 5 turbo snails, about 10 ceriths, and then go from there.

I'd also be looking at the amoount of time your lights are on. If they are on too long it will promote hair algae.
Also, you should replace your lights every six months because the color spectrum changes.
Like others said, you probably need to look at your water parameters as well.
When I had the problem, I did plenty of water changes and adjusted my timing on my lights and the problem cured itself. Since this was a problem in one of FOWLR tanks, I added a very large red leg hermit crab and he seemed to devour it.
I also saw a lot less of the problem reoccuring because I kept the UV going 24/7.
Hope that helps you out.
