Just thought I share a few photos of my tank with you folks. Currently in my collection is my 46 bowfront reef, my new 90 fowlr which is working great so far, and a sps 20g nano I am working on getting together.

I'm guessing that your clown is hosting that goniopora (flowerpot, w/e) coral. I read somewhere that when that happens, it unfortunatly leads to the corals ultimate demise, because it can't handle the abuse of a fish swimming through it constantly. Have you seen any problems with the two of them together?

P.S. what kind of lighting and other equipment do you have on the tank?

Well before putting him in I realized he may take to it being the closest thing to an anemone with regards to appearance... In fact he went straight to it after 30 minutes being in the tank after acclimation. Good thing is during the day he tends to swim end to end and only if I come around to hang out and watch he will then go into the gonio to display a show I guess.. But afer 1.5 months of having him and 6 months with the gonio they both look great....The goniopora I know already has a poor time cap on length of life in an aquarium but I still enjoy it's presence.

That sounds fair enough. What lighting setup?

2x96w sunpaq 50/50 retrofit pc's.....Everyone has thrived and no bleeching seen on any corals....Although I am going to upgrade to a T5 setup in the future and try to keep a couple of SPS at the top and see how that goes...For now my focus has turned to my other tanks...this one is doing great thus far and doesn't need me messin with it.

Wow. That's awesome for just 2x96 PCs!

I'm waiting for some growth on my 4x54w T5 Nova Extreme setup. I'm waiting to see if my open brain will eventually take to the bottom of the sand like yours.

Not taking a dig at you but you claim you have no bleaching, so would you care to explain the snow white goni in the centre?

Hairy......purchased it that way believe it or not and although in the picture it is white in person it's actually a light yellow tint and has been that day since day one and with me for about 3 months now..... if it was going downhill it would have a long time ago.... and it's cool if you critique......i was waiting to see someone mention the goni sooner or later.. ;)

Hard to say whther they are happy or not....considering they die eventually in an aquarium but so far just feed my corals, dt's, cyclopeeze, and feed a couple of them in particular zoo plankton.

Up until now it has worked while maintaining high water quality.

Nice looking tank :) A couple of questions...

1) Looks like you have a sump yet you have a heater in there... why? I am guessing no room in the sump maybe?

2) Maybe it's the pic.. but what's causing your micro-bubble problem?

3) What's your routines on your tank? Water changes, Equipment clean out, etc?

1) I am using a wet/dry setup rather than a refugium....why? Because when I first got into the hobby I had a small budget and got a complete used setup...I figured it shouldn't have been able to cut it but guess what it has and I am a firm believer in not messing with something that works well... so to answer your question you're right...no space in the sump which is why is in the dt.

2) what you are thinkibng are micro bubbles is actually calcium build up on the back side giving the illusion I have a micro bubble prob.

3) 10% water change every 2 weeks along with filter material replacement. Equipment: rio2100 return pump(sucks but has done well for the 7 months in use. rio600 in tank (same as return.... cheezy protein skimmer that does a great job unbelievably... Add calcium and iodine as needed and check water parameters every week.

Ammonia:0
Nitrates:0
Nitrites:0
Phosphates:0
PH:8.2
Alk: 3.8
Calcium 400-450 ppm
Salinity: 1.026-refractometer

I have kept it extremely simple but I am going to upgrade my return and intank pump along with skimmer.... They can only last so long before they go to crap.. you get what you pay for... Iam looking at upgrading my return to a Quiet one pump....I wouldn't mind a mag drive but the quiet one is not a bad item either.

Thanks again for all the kind words people..

Nick
