I'm starting to feel very bad about cutting off legs of chocolate star for the shrimps. How do you guys feel about it?

Its natural and it has to be done. I have a starfish that i pull a leg off once a month if you cant come to do it i would question why you bought the shrimp initially.

A girl I know has one and does this, but it honestly creeps me about the same as feeding a mouse to a snake.
But they are really pretty, and if you want to keep it it has to be done.
I think she listens to slayer alot, maybe she plays that to get into the mood!
MY CHOCOLATE CHIP STAR MUST DIIIIIIIEEEEEEYYYYY!!!!
(Bad slayer impression) :)

Well, in my case I feel bad that you have to feed them this, but I got it to rid me of a large problem I had with an outbreak of nuissance starfish. (they were everywhere). Now slowly but surely its getting under control.

I know now that they are fewer, I will have to start feeding it (if I want to keep it) It really is beautiful.

Now do you really pull the legs off? Or could you just puth the starfish in the tank and let the shrimp go to town?
