I just noticed when looking at my tank, lights off and dark outside with a flashlight, that there is a continuous flow of particles in the tank.

I haven't noticed this in the daytime. But in the day w/ lights it's hard to see just slice of water as with a flashlight.

I don't know if this is detritus or live stuff.

Barebottom BTW.

What do y'all think?

This is an longshot but does it appear like plankton would. I dont know if you have ever seen a nature video to know what I mean.

I am hoping that it is plankton.
I just can't tell.
Some of it seems to be swimming but it's hard to tell as I have a lot of flow
