The crab has slowly lost several legs over the past week or two. Still comes out and grazes all over the rock but something is taking its legs. 24 gallon Aquapod with a royal gramma and clown fish (well fed). Rest of the inhabitants are blue leg hermits, snails, some bristle worms, soft corals. The emerald crabs are having no problems, neither is the decorator crab. Any ideas?

thanks.

You have an inhabitant you are unaware of.

I'd have to say that Kent's right. Nothing you mentioned would do that kind of damage to a Sally Lightfoot. Had any of the other crabs or shrimp undergone a similar problem, I'd say that your water's calcium and or iodine were low, but since only the Sally Lightfoot is experiencing leg loss, there must be something in the tank that came in with the live rock that's doing the damage.
