Iodine & Magnesium Question

Has anybody been using anything besides what you can buy in the LFS. That you would DIY mix. , and the same question for magnesium.

FWIW, iodine supplements are rather inexpensive, if you choose to dose them (but as mentioned, I don't think them useful).
