Anyone have a hood inside a Canopy ?

I'm planning on purchasing a Current Nova extreme T-5 hood with moon lights, but I love the look of canopies on tanks. I was planning on having an open top and having an open hole by the fan on the unit covered with a speaker grille or something. Surely the hood shouldn't get that hot with that setup would it ?

I have a nova extreme t5 fixture and it is to tall to fit in a canopy. Also the fans are on the side of the fixture and I have heat issues without the canopy.

I've got my 48" sunpod hood inside my canopy. It gets pretty warm but I've been told that it should be fine.
