AC PHs that do not stop spewing microbubbles into the tank? if so, how the heck did you get them to stop? it seems like every 10 seconds a burst of them just shoot out into the tank, and i don't understand it because they are totally not close to the surface, and there is no airline to bring the air into the dang tings. i have been dealing witht his for about a week now and cannot seem to find any solution. frustrating!! :mad2:

Never had this problem at all. You might check to see if any stray voltage is leaking into your tank... that could spell disaster. Also... thuroughly shake the air out of the powerhead before turning it on... might help.

What does the acronym stand for? "AC".
Does it have a hose hooked up to it? Are they deep enough?

Are you getting microbubbles from some other source like a skimmer and then they build up in the power head??

Pat

AC is for aquaclear..i've got the ac powerheads in my tank, but they dont make any bubbles. Do you have that venturi airline connected still? if so, thats whats causing it..just pull that off. I really dont know what the purpose of those are

i don't have the airlines on there. maybe they are from my hob filter and are building up inside of the PH because i see bubbles built up all over the PHs. i never thought of them building up from something else. thanks a lot for your help! i will just have to keep messing with it until i can minimize them. i appreciate it!

that could very likely be the cause...thats how it is with my fluval. about every 8 hours (that i know of) it will build up enough from my skimmer and shoot them out
